Jerell’s Piano Studio, LLC (The Studio) is committed to providing a pleasant and meaningful learning experience for all our students. For this to be possible, all students and parents must be in agreement with the terms of this policy. 

 

Lessons and Scheduling

All lessons with Jerell’s Piano Studio are offered in weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Once enrolled, our students are considered to be under a month-to-month commitment. Therefore, all tuition and fees are due on the 1st of each month to reserve your guaranteed reserved lesson dates and times. 

 

Tuition & Fees

  • Tuition is paid as a flat monthly rate fee due on the 1st day of each month.

  • $25 non-refundable enrollment fee is due at the time of registration

Group Sessions Rates

  • $25 Enrollment Fee (one-time)

  • $130/month – Weekly, 60-minute sessions

  • $25 Admin Fee – Semi-annually (every 6 months)

Private Lessons Rates

  • $25 Enrollment Fee (one-time)

  • $150/month – Weekly, 30-minute lessons or;

  • $300/month – Weekly, 60-minute lessons

  • $25 Admin Fee – Semi-annually (every 6 months)

Sibling Discounts

  • 10% discount off sibling enrollment fees after paid enrollment of the first child

  • This discount applies to lesson/session fees only. All other fees remain the same

Additional Charges

  • A $10 late fee will be applied to any payment received after the 10th of each month

  • A $25 fee will be charged for each return check/payment

 

Accepted Forms of Payment

  • Cash, check, or money order – In person

  • Credit/Debit Card (via the online portal) Autopay is an available 

  • Autopay charges are processed on the 1st of each month

All payments made through our website are processed through the Stripe Payment Gateway. Prices are subject to change. In this case, Jerell’s Piano Studio will make every attempt to notify you at least thirty (30) prior to the change.


 

Lesson Cancellations & Make-up Policy

All lesson cancellations should be made through the online portal and are subject to the cancellation policy below. Jerell’s Piano Studio does not issue refunds for missed lessons. 

 

All lesson cancellations require at least 24 hours advance notice

  • For cancellations made with a 24-hour notice:

    • A Make-up Credit will be issued and can be used to reschedule the lesson.

    • Make-ups Credit will expire 30 days after the date of issuance.

  • For cancellations made without a 24-hour notice: 

    • The lesson will be considered forfeited by the client.

    • No make-up credit will be provided.

    • Refunds will not be issued for missed lessons.

  • For Studio/Staff Cancellation

    • A Staff Cancellation make-up credit will immediately be issued.

    • Staff Cancellation credits will expire 30 days after the date of issuance.

*Make-up lessons are not provided for the 5-6 year old group sessions unless canceled by the studio. In this case, a makeup date and time will be provided.

 

Make-up Credits & Lesson

  • Students are allowed to have only two (2) available make-up credits at one time. 

  • Available credits must be used before additional credits can be issued.

  • Students cannot request more than four (4) lesson cancellations within a 90-day period.

  • Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled. Any canceled make-up lesson will be forfeited.

  • Refunds will not be issued.

 

Studio Closures

Please refer to our Studio Calendar for scheduled studio closures: holidays, quarterly breaks, etc.

For studio closures, instructors will communicate scheduling changes to ensure students still receive the appropriate number of lessons.

 

Attendance & Tardies

  • Students are expected to arrive on time for their weekly lessons. Late arrivals will not result in an extended lesson period.

  • If a student is not available for their weekly lesson for any reason, it is the student/parent responsibility to request a make-up lesson or Lessonmate session  in accordance with the Studio Cancellation Policy.

 

Parent and Student Responsibilities

Equipment

  • Students should have access to an instrument at home for practice.

  • The student is responsible for all equipment and accessories required for at home setup.

Books & Materials

  • The studio will provide lesson books and other materials necessary for class success. 

  • The student is expected to have all materials present at each session.

Email & SMS (text) Communication

Jerell’s Piano Studio uses email and SMS (text) options to communicate with our clients regarding studio-related services, announcements, and advertising. You agree to receiving these notifications. You have the ability to manage any automatic notification preferences via the online portal. 

 

Termination of Services

Any request for termination of services shall be made prior to the start of the next billing cycle (1st of the month). Terminations will take effect in the month following the request. Should a client choose to end services at any point after the start of the month, the student is still responsible for payment and agrees to complete lessons through that currently enrolled month. Otherwise, the remaining lessons in that month will be forfeited. Refunds will not be issued.

 

Media Opt-Out

We reserve the right to photograph and/or videos students and studio activities for promotional purposes. Images or videos may be published on our website, social media, digital, and print marketing. You may request to opt-out by requesting and submitting our Media Opt-Out form. Please note that if your child participates in a public or community event in which the studio is involved, whether or not hosted by our studio, we may have little or no control over photographs taken by media, other parents or other community members attending the event. Students over the age of 18 do not require parental consent for photo use. 

 

Liability

We take necessary precautions to provide a safe learning environment for our students. In the unlikely event of incident, you agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless, Jerell’s Piano Studio, its owners, officers, and staff, against all liability, loss, damage and expense of personal property or unexpected injury sustained as a result of participation through program activities.

 

Right to Terminate

Jerell’s Piano Studio reserves the right to terminate or refuse services to anyone at any time at the sole discretion of the studio.
